About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential public sector IT services organization in Germany seeking a Kubernetes Administrator/Private Cloud Engineer. Our client is at the forefront of digital transformation, delivering critical infrastructure that serves millions of users. This is a remote position based in Germany.
In this role, you will ensure that containerized infrastructure runs seamlessly while remaining future-ready. Your mission will be to build and maintain a highly available, scalable, and secure platform where applications can be reliably operated and continuously improved. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will drive automation and optimization of private cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Consult on, design, and implement private cloud platforms
- Collaborate with specialist teams to provision necessary infrastructure
- Measure, analyze, and optimize platform performance and stability
- Build and operate distributed systems using DevOps methodologies
- Promote Continuous Integration and Deployment processes for efficient solution delivery
- Perform troubleshooting and resolution in containerized environments
- Configure and operate proxy systems, including incident resolution
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in cloud/platform operations
- Proven experience in agile development and operation of distributed systems
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Ansible (essential)
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in container environments
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (required)
- OpenShift and JavaEE experience (advantageous)
- Very good German language skills (C1 level) and conversational English
