Knit – Lead Product Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded technology company building an AI-native platform in the consumer research and insights space. Our client serves major enterprise brands and is redefining how research teams operate—condensing processes that traditionally took weeks into days or hours. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant strategic influence, reporting directly to senior leadership and working alongside PhD-level researchers and experienced engineering teams.

As Lead Product Manager, you'll own a meaningful product surface end-to-end, drive company-level product bets, and help shape the future of AI-powered research tooling. You'll ship in fast two-week cycles and operate as a force multiplier across a senior-heavy, flat organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of your product surface from discovery through delivery to customer adoption, defining both strategy and execution
• Write clear product specifications, prioritize ruthlessly, and partner closely with engineering leadership to ship outcome-driven work
• Build direct customer intuition through consistent engagement with users and buyers at Fortune 1000 organizations
• Own the AI product layer including evaluation strategies, quality loops, failure-mode design, and model-versus-human decision frameworks
• Drive cross-functional alignment across R&D and go-to-market teams, eliminating thrash and ensuring shared clarity on priorities
• Contribute to company-level roadmap decisions and quarterly planning with customer-backed insights and competitive intelligence
• Set standards for product communication and strategic thinking across the organization

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 7+ years as a Product Manager, including significant experience at a company recognized for strong product culture where you learned from excellent leaders and operated with real autonomy
• Proven 0→1 experience taking a product from zero to meaningful customer usage, ideally in an early-stage (seed/Series A) environment
• AI-native fluency: you've shipped LLM-based features in production and understand evaluations, hallucination management, latency/cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode design
• Active use of AI tools in your own PM workflow for drafting, prototyping, research, and design
• Developed point of view on how the PM role is evolving in an AI-native world
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to create clarity under compression
• Strong technical fluency to drive substantive conversations with senior engineers about architecture, tradeoffs, and constraints
• Strategic range: you've influenced roadmap direction beyond your own surface, contributed to company-level planning, and shaped organizational market thinking

Nice to Have:

• Previous founder experience or first-PM role at an early-stage startup
• Experience building tools for researchers or in the market research industry
• Background as a senior IC in a flat, founder-led environment
