Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial technology organization seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join their agile trading solutions team in Paris. Working at the intersection of hardware and software development, you will be instrumental in building high-performance market data and execution systems.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining hardware technology components based on specifications from architects and product management, leveraging advanced workflows including test automation and code reuse
• Participating throughout the complete development cycle—from RTL coding and behavioral simulation through automated testing on FPGA platforms
• Creating and maintaining functional and performance tests for hardware components
• Providing team feedback and proactively identifying issues, risks, and gaps during development phases
• Maintaining and improving technical documentation for hardware components alongside ongoing development work

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical education
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in FPGA development
• Complete mastery of the FPGA development flow with deep expertise in timing analysis
• Strong ability to evaluate the quality and performance of hardware architectures
• Technical proficiency with VHDL, Linux, Python, networking concepts, Jenkins, and Git
• Professional fluency in both French and English
• Passion for highly technical, innovative hardware acceleration products with focus on quality and performance
• Dynamic and rigorous work ethic with proven ability to collaborate in technical team environments
• Enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to problem-solving efforts
• Critical thinking mindset, continuous learning approach, and genuine interest in discovering new technologies
