IT Quality Assurance Specialist – IT Project Management Office

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking an IT Quality Assurance Specialist to join their IT Project Management Office. Our client operates one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States, and this role offers the opportunity to impact critical healthcare technology infrastructure that serves communities nationwide.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on day shifts, located in the United States. Healthcare experience or background is strongly preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and write comprehensive test plans and procedures to validate infrastructure and software functionality against specifications and expected standards
• Execute, monitor, and record results of test plans while maintaining accurate documentation
• Provide test estimates aligned with project timelines and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to understand software functionality and project requirements
• Log defects systematically and validate defect fixes to ensure resolution quality
• Participate actively in software requirements gathering sessions
• Translate business and technical requirements into detailed test cases
• Interview end users to determine necessary test scenarios and cases
• Develop and provide realistic testing timelines for project planning
• Execute test scripts methodically and document identified issues with sufficient detail to support rapid resolution
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues and work toward unified testing platforms that can be leveraged across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree required, with focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Experience: Minimum two years of applicable work experience preferred, ideally in healthcare environments
• Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of software development methodologies, software testing techniques, and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Problem-Solving: Ability to creatively problem solve and adapt to varying customer situations
• Work Style: Self-motivated and results-driven professional who can work independently
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical teams, project managers, and end users

Pay
