Investor Reporting Associate

Valon is looking for an analytically-minded Investor Reporting Associate to join our remote team on a full-time basis. You'll ensure accurate, prompt reporting of mortgage loan data to institutional investors while maintaining the precision those partners require.

About the Role

As an Investor Reporting Associate at Valon, you'll drive a critical function in our investor relations operations. You'll report loan activity to agency and non-agency investors, reconcile mortgage data per investor specifications, and collaborate across teams to optimize and scale our reporting processes. This hands-on role blends mortgage domain expertise with analytical problem-solving, offering the chance to contribute to improvements in our reporting infrastructure.

Core Duties

  • Furnish loan activity information to investor partners (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, private investors) according to established timelines
  • Complete investor reconciliation processes monthly aligned with partner specifications
  • Track remittance payment schedules and coordinate prompt fund transfers
  • Implement amortization calculations across loan records to ensure accuracy in investor-facing reports
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify how loan servicing activities affect reporting results
  • Leverage Valon's proprietary tools to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot reporting discrepancies
  • Utilize Excel proficiency (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas) alongside Google Workspace for data administration

What You Bring

  • At least twelve months in investor reporting within a mortgage servicing environment
  • Experience managing relationships with agency partners such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and private investment groups
  • Working knowledge of remittance mechanics and amortization principles
  • Familiarity with mortgage servicing operations and standard departmental practices
  • Ability to work with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, common functions) and Google Workspace platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or STEM—or equivalent of 2+ years in an accounting or finance role
  • High school diploma or GED (minimum educational requirement)
  • Demonstrated skill in analytical thinking, problem-solving, clear communication, and team collaboration
  • Readiness to participate in regular in-person team engagement
