Institutional & Specialty Sales Consultant – Stroke/Thrombosis | Oakland, CA

Bayer is seeking an Institutional & Specialty Sales Consultant - Stroke/Thrombosis to join its team in Alameda Pt, Alameda County, supporting the launch of Asundexian, an innovative therapy designed to prevent stroke. This full‑time position focuses on driving adoption of the therapy within hospitals, health systems, and specialty clinics across the Oakland region.

About the Role

As part of Bayer’s newly formed Institutional & Specialty Sales organization, you will represent Asundexian to key decision‑makers in neurology, cardiology, and stroke care settings. You will translate clinical data into compelling value propositions, help shape territory strategy, and work cross‑functionally with medical affairs, market access, and marketing to ensure successful product introduction and sustained growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute territory plans to meet or exceed sales objectives for Asundexian.
• Identify, engage, and build long‑term relationships with hospital formulary committees, stroke center directors, and specialty clinic leaders.
• Deliver scientific presentations and product training to physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
• Collaborate with Bayer’s medical affairs team to provide accurate, up‑to‑date clinical information and address healthcare provider inquiries.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and reimbursement developments to inform tactical adjustments.
• Maintain accurate call activity, sample inventory, and pipeline data in the company CRM system.
• Adhere to all applicable regulatory, compliance, and promotional guidelines governing pharmaceutical sales.
• Participate in regional meetings, national conferences, and internal training sessions to enhance product and therapeutic area expertise.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Minimum of two years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience, preferably in cardiovascular, neurology, or hospital‑based settings.
• Proven ability to sell complex therapeutic solutions to institutional accounts and navigate multi‑stakeholder buying processes.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with a consultative selling approach.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven individual comfortable working autonomously while contributing to team goals.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement models, GPOs, and IDNs is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce) and standard Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
