About the Role
As an OTR Dry Van Company Driver at Nussbaum, you'll haul dry van freight across long-haul lanes as part of a team that measures success by more than miles. This is a full-time position for experienced over-the-road professionals who are ready to put down roots with a company that takes driver retention seriously.
What You'll Do
- Transport dry van freight safely and efficiently across OTR routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT requirements
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and full compliance with Hours of Service regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch on load status, ETAs, and any on-road developments
- Uphold all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Represent Nussbaum with professionalism at every customer touchpoint and on every road
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Demonstrated OTR experience managing long-haul runs independently
- Solid working knowledge of ELD systems, HOS rules, and DOT compliance standards
- A safety-first mindset and consistent on-time delivery performance
- Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable operating with autonomy on the road
Compensation & Bonuses
First-year OTR Dry Van Company Drivers at Nussbaum earn between $76,000 and $92,000 depending on experience. New drivers also qualify for a $3,000 Dry Van Transition Bonus — $1,000 paid at the close of orientation, $1,000 at the three-month mark, and a final $1,000 at six months. Insurance coverage is included in the benefits package.
