About the Role

As an OTR Dry Van Company Driver with Nussbaum, you'll operate Class A equipment across long-haul routes, moving dry van freight safely and on schedule. Nussbaum pairs competitive compensation with a $3,000 Dry Van Transition Bonus — paid in installments of $1,000 at orientation completion, $1,000 at the three-month mark, and $1,000 at six months — so your commitment is rewarded from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Operate a late-model dry van tractor-trailer on OTR routes throughout the continental US
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and comply with all Hours of Service requirements
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and route conditions
  • Properly secure and protect dry van cargo to prevent shifting or damage in transit
  • Deliver freight on time while upholding Nussbaum's high standards for professionalism and safety

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
  • Verifiable OTR or long-haul driving experience preferred
  • Clean motor vehicle record with no serious violations or DUI history
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and pre-employment drug screen
  • Strong knowledge of federal hours-of-service rules and ELD operation
  • Reliable, self-directed work ethic suited to extended time on the road
  • Professional communication skills and a commitment to on-time, damage-free delivery
