About the Role

As an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster with MileHigh Adjusters Houston Inc, you'll investigate and resolve insurance claims with accuracy and professionalism. This is a full-time position based in Schertz, Texas, where you'll serve a critical function in our claims operations, particularly as storm activity and severe weather events continue to create demand for skilled, trained adjusters across the region.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough investigations of property damage claims, following company protocols and insurance guidelines
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties to gather comprehensive loss information
• Document damage through photographs, diagrams, and detailed claim reports
• Evaluate coverage terms, assess damages, and calculate settlement amounts based on policy provisions
• Communicate findings clearly to insurers, policyholders, and attorneys throughout the claims lifecycle
• Manage multiple concurrent claims while meeting regulatory and company deadlines
• Work onsite in varying weather and field conditions to gather firsthand claim information

What We're Looking For

• Current adjuster's license, or commitment to obtain one (career-entry applicants welcome)
• Excellent organizational and investigative abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills when working with claimants and partners
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and manage workload effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field claim investigations
• Willingness to travel to sites and adapt to outdoor work environments
