About the Role
As a Residential Counselor, you'll provide direct supervision, mentorship, and daily support to residents during overnight hours. Community Teamwork is a private nonprofit organization headquartered in Lowell, Massachusetts, with over 600 team members committed to catalyzing social change. This full-time position is vital to ensuring residents receive safe, stable care and the guidance they need to thrive during evening and overnight hours.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on supervision and emotional support to residents throughout your overnight shift
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environment
- Monitor resident health, safety, and well-being; respond promptly to needs or emergencies
- Document daily observations and resident activities in accordance with program standards
- Build positive relationships and foster independence through structured interaction
- Communicate effectively with day staff and supervisors to ensure continuity of care
