Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician (Travel Required)

Olsson is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician (Travel Required) for our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County location. This is a full-time position combining technical expertise in construction materials with field-based site visits across multiple projects throughout the region.

About the Role

In this senior-level materials testing role, you'll ensure quality and compliance across construction projects in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. Your expertise will directly impact project success, safety, and client satisfaction. This position requires regular travel to job sites, so you must be comfortable working in field conditions and managing logistics across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive testing of construction materials including concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregate per ASTM and ACI standards
• Perform quality control and quality assurance testing at active construction sites and in laboratory environments
• Prepare detailed test reports, documentation, and compliance records for engineers and project stakeholders
• Operate and maintain materials testing equipment with precision and proper calibration protocols
• Collaborate with project engineers, contractors, and site managers to ensure material specifications are met
• Travel to project sites to oversee testing procedures and gather samples in field conditions
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to quality standards across projects

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a construction materials testing technician with demonstrated senior-level expertise
• Strong knowledge of ASTM and ACI testing standards and procedures
• Current certifications such as ACI or ICAR preferred
• Proficiency with materials testing equipment and laboratory instruments
• Excellent documentation and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently in field conditions and manage time across multiple sites
• Willingness to travel regularly; valid driver's license required
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
