About the Role
This full-time Subject Matter Expert position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership. You'll be the go-to resource for wastewater treatment knowledge across our projects, clients, and team. Your role bridges hands-on technical work with mentorship, process optimization, and thought leadership in environmental solutions.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert technical guidance on wastewater treatment processes, systems design, and operational best practices
- Lead technical evaluations, design reviews, and feasibility assessments for treatment facilities
- Develop and refine wastewater treatment strategies that improve performance, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Mentor engineering staff and transfer technical knowledge on treatment technologies and methodologies
- Support clients in solving complex wastewater treatment challenges and optimizing system performance
- Stay current with environmental regulations, water quality standards, and industry advancements in treatment
- Evaluate emerging treatment technologies and innovations for project and client applications
- Create technical documentation, specifications, and reports that guide design and implementation
What We're Looking For
- Extensive professional experience in wastewater treatment design, operations, or process engineering
- Deep expertise in treatment technologies—biological, chemical, physical, or advanced processes
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, wastewater permits, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers, clients, and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated experience mentoring or developing technical professionals
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred
