Hagerty Consulting, Inc. is seeking experienced disaster recovery professionals to join our Recovery Division as an Independent Contractor in Topeka, Shawnee County. About the Role
As an Independent Contractor supporting Hagerty's Recovery Division, you will work alongside a respected team of emergency management practitioners to deliver disaster recovery services to clients across the country. Based in Topeka, Shawnee County, this role places you at the center of complex recovery initiatives, where thoughtful problem-solving and dependable execution make a measurable difference for the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Support disaster recovery projects and programs led by the Hagerty Recovery Division.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to advance recovery planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Apply emergency management expertise to help clients navigate large-scale and intricate recovery challenges.
- Contribute innovative thinking and practical solutions throughout the recovery lifecycle.
- Deliver high-quality, client-focused work that reflects Hagerty's standards and public-spirited mission.
Qualifications
- Background or demonstrated experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, or homeland security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of dependable delivery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently as a contractor while supporting team objectives.
- Willingness to work on-site in Topeka, Shawnee County (this position is not remote).
