Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare in San Marcos, Texas. This is a part-time position working on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 6 PM, providing care for clients/patients in the Austin area, specifically in zip code 78747.
What You'll Do
- Provide low acuity in-home healthcare services to clients/patients as directed by a physician or nurse practitioner.
- Assess and document client/patient needs and progress, ensuring all care is in line with medical orders and best practices.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician, following proper protocols and documentation procedures.
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter management, and vital sign monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with clients/patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of Texas.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Prior experience in home health or related field preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
