Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized intervention plans on a one-to-one basis while working under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Employ research-supported approaches that strengthen communication, social engagement, and practical daily living abilities
  • Help lessen disruptive or challenging actions so each child can participate more fully
  • Remain fully mobile throughout sessions—standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or materials weighing as much as 50 pounds—because activity levels vary and sessions stay energetic
  • Collaborate with colleagues to keep support consistent and inspiring for every child and family

What You Bring

  • Strong desire to help children with autism achieve their best
  • Patience, kindness, and comfort working inside a collaborative team
  • Age of at least 18 years
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification, First Aid certification, and a tuberculosis test when none has been completed within the past year
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check
  • Physical readiness to change positions frequently (sit, squat, bend, and similar movements) and to lift or carry up to 50 pounds

Earlier experience as a Behavior Technician, support work with children who have autism or other learning differences, or roles such as teacher’s aide, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide is welcomed though not required.
