Centria Autism is hiring a full-time Behavior Technician in Vicksburg, Michigan to deliver personalized, one-on-one support that helps children with autism develop critical life skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
About the Role
In this Behavior Technician position you will partner closely with children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to put individualized intervention plans into action. Each day ends with the satisfaction of having advanced a child’s independence and strengthened their family’s support network in the Vicksburg community.
Core Duties

- Teach communication, social, and everyday living skills through evidence-based methods
- Consistently address and decrease behaviors that block learning or social growth
- Remain mobile throughout the workday, moving through a full range of postures as required by each child’s activities
- Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds when assisting children or managing materials
- Collaborate with the broader clinical team to document progress and refine support strategies

- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification plus a tuberculosis test (if none completed in the past year)
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Physical capacity to sit, squat, bend, kneel, and perform related movements repeatedly
- Ability to lift and carry loads of up to 50 pounds
