Full training is supplied so candidates can succeed even without prior hands-on experience. Sessions demand physical readiness, because young clients stay active; you must be comfortable shifting among standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting positions, plus lifting or carrying children or objects weighing as much as 50 pounds. Each day ends with the satisfaction of having advanced a child’s independence and strengthened their family’s support network in the Vicksburg community. Core Duties Deliver one-on-one sessions that implement tailored behavior intervention plans designed by a BCBA Teach communication, social, and everyday living skills through evidence-based methods Consistently address and decrease behaviors that block learning or social growth Remain mobile throughout the workday, moving through a full range of postures as required by each child’s activities Safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds when assisting children or managing materials Collaborate with the broader clinical team to document progress and refine support strategies Who We're Looking For Ideal Behavior Technician candidates near Vicksburg combine genuine enthusiasm for children with autism and the steady temperament required for active, team-based work.
