In Home Healthcare LPN: Low Acuity (Days)

Aveanna Healthcare is hiring a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for an in-home healthcare position serving children in Opelousas, Saint Landry Parish. This part-time role offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care directly in family home settings.

About the Role

As an in-home healthcare LPN with Aveanna Healthcare, you'll provide direct patient care in low-acuity home settings. This private duty nursing position focuses on feeding tube management and supportive nursing services for pediatric clients throughout the Opelousas area. You'll partner with families and care teams to ensure every patient receives quality, consistent care in the comfort of their home.

What You'll Do

• Manage feeding tube care, including setup, monitoring, and detailed documentation
• Perform routine nursing assessments and vital sign monitoring
• Teach families and caregivers proper care techniques and safety protocols
• Maintain thorough, accurate patient records and collaborate on treatment plans
• Work alongside family members, physicians, and the broader care team
• Support patients with activities of daily living based on individual care needs

What We're Looking For

• Active Louisiana LPN or LVN license in good standing
• Experience or demonstrated comfort working with pediatric patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and thoughtfully in home-based care settings
• Genuine commitment to patient safety, dignity, and family-centered practice
• Reliable transportation to travel between patient homes

Schedule

This part-time position runs Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional Saturday shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
