Pediatric RN – Days/Nights – Full Time or Part Time

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a Pediatric RN to work Days or Nights on a Part‑Time basis in Killeen, Bell County, providing compassionate in‑home care to children with complex medical needs.

About the Role

This position offers flexible Day or Night shifts for a Part‑Time Pediatric Registered Nurse who will deliver private‑duty nursing services to pediatric patients in their homes throughout the Killeen area.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and neurological changes, responding promptly to any deviations.
• Provide tracheostomy care, ventilator support, gastrostomy feeding, and other specialized pediatric interventions.
• Educate families and caregivers on disease management, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, Aveanna policies, and best practices for infection control and patient safety.
• Participate in ongoing training and competency evaluations to stay current with pediatric nursing standards.

What We're Looking For

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of recent pediatric nursing experience, preferably in home health, private duty, or acute care settings.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; PALS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and family members.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient‑centered approach.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for travel to patient homes within the Killeen/Bell County area.
• Ability to lift and reposition patients as needed and to perform the physical demands of bedside nursing.
