Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

BAYADA Home Health Care seeks a dedicated Full-Time Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled rehabilitation services to adult and geriatric clients in Waltham, MA and surrounding communities including Newton, Needham, and Wellesley. Work directly alongside licensed Physical Therapists while building meaningful relationships with patients receiving care in their own homes.

What This Role Involves

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant in the Waltham area, you will be an essential clinical team member delivering hands-on therapy and patient education within residential settings. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, conduct functional assessments, perform therapeutic exercises, and provide guidance to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your work will span the greater Boston area including Waltham, Newton, Needham, and Wellesley. While prior home health background is beneficial, we welcome PTAs from any clinical setting ready to transition into this patient-centered care model.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic interventions and exercises as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Conduct range of motion, strength, and functional assessments with adult and geriatric patients
• Educate clients and families on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and recovery milestones
• Document patient progress, treatment responses, and any changes in condition
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to adjust care plans based on patient outcomes
• Maintain safe, sanitary conditions in patients' homes during therapy sessions

Qualifications

• Current, active license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
