Join Amergis as a full-time Special Education Teacher serving students in kindergarten through grade 12 throughout Polk City and Polk County. This is an immediate opportunity to make a direct impact on exceptional learners while earning $45/hour in a collaborative school environment.

About the Role

You'll work under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, delivering individualized instruction and support to students with exceptional needs. This position is central to planning and executing comprehensive student programs that blend specialized instruction, targeted tutorial sessions, and meaningful consultation with general education colleagues.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to each student's IEP goals and learning profile
  • Provide tutoring and academic intervention to strengthen core skills across grade levels K–12
  • Partner with general education teachers to coordinate inclusive programming and ensure seamless student transitions
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and team planning sessions to refine student programs
  • Monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture focused on student success

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Florida Special Education teaching certification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working with exceptional learners across multiple grade levels
