About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Hydrovac Laborer position based in Greenville, South Carolina. The majority of your day — roughly 70% or more of work time — is spent stationed outside the truck, operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system to carefully excavate around sensitive buried utilities such as piping and cables. It is physical, field-based work suited to someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable on active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the truck-mounted hydro-vacuum system to perform non-destructive (soft) digging around underground pipes and cables
- Carry out tank entry, cleaning, and vacuuming tasks as part of routine hydrovac operations
- Load, transport, and set up equipment when mobilizing to and from job sites
- Assist with ongoing truck upkeep and basic maintenance
- Take part in regular safety meetings and follow all site safety procedures
- Perform heavy lifting and other manual labor as the job requires
Qualifications
- Ability to handle physically demanding outdoor work, including heavy lifting
- Willingness to work primarily outside the truck in varied field conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and following established protocols
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a crew
- Comfort with confined-space tasks such as tank entry, cleaning, and vacuuming
