Schneider is hiring a CDL‑A Refrigerated Truck Driver for its Shawano, Shawano County location, where you will haul temperature‑controlled freight while also acting as an instructor for new driver associates. This is a full‑time position.

About the Role

This position combines over‑the‑road refrigerated hauling with hands‑on training of new driver associates. You will operate temperature‑controlled equipment while mentoring newcomers through Schneider’s onboarding process, ensuring they meet safety, compliance, and performance standards from day one.

What You'll Do

• Drive Schneider refrigerated trailers on assigned routes, maintaining product integrity and on‑time delivery.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, completing required DOT documentation.
• Provide one‑on‑one coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to new drivers during their initial training period.
• Assist with classroom and behind‑the‑wheel instruction, covering hours‑of‑service rules, cargo securement, and company policies.
• Participate in ride‑along evaluations and help develop individualized improvement plans for trainees.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and safety teams to report any mechanical issues or compliance concerns.
• Adhere to a Monday‑through‑Friday schedule, typically 06:15 – 16:15, with daily home time.

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL‑A with a clean driving record.
• At least 12 months of verifiable over‑the‑road trucking experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor others; prior instructor or lead‑driver experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of refrigerated cargo handling and temperature monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety culture.
• Ability to pass Schneider’s background check and drug screening.
