About This Position

Walmart is hiring a full-time General Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our Wabash, Wabash County store. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the store environment—from HVAC systems and equipment to electrical components, plumbing, and structural integrity. You'll work directly with store leadership and other maintenance staff to prevent problems, respond to issues quickly, and ensure our facility meets safety and operational standards. Core Duties

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, including store fixtures, refrigeration units, and loading dock machinery
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
• Identify safety hazards and coordinate repairs or replacements
• Maintain equipment logs and document maintenance activities
• Assist with building repairs, drywall, painting, and structural upkeep
• Collaborate with store management and external contractors as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related trade
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work at heights
• Attention to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace
