Freelance Annotator (English) – AI Trainer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology company seeking Freelance Annotators fluent in English to support project-based AI evaluation work. This is a remote, flexible opportunity based in Ireland for candidates interested in contributing to cutting-edge artificial intelligence development.

This is not permanent employment. Contributors work on a project basis, completing discrete annotation and evaluation tasks as they become available. Work volume fluctuates based on active project phases.

Responsibilities

As a Freelance Annotator, you will be invited to participate in online AI training projects when available. Your work may include:

• Reviewing provided data including text, images, or videos according to detailed project specifications
• Rating and evaluating AI-generated content for quality, accuracy, and appropriateness
• Labeling and classifying content based on project-specific guidelines
• Comparing multiple AI responses and identifying superior outputs
• Identifying and flagging factually incorrect, sensitive, inappropriate, or unclear material
• Following complex instructions with precision and consistency
• Submitting completed tasks by established deadlines while maintaining quality standards

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks detail-oriented professionals with strong analytical capabilities. Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in any field
• Strong logical thinking, fact-checking, and reasoning abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand and follow complex, multi-step instructions
• Strong written and spoken English at C1 level or higher
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions when guidance is needed
• Genuine interest in technology and artificial intelligence systems
• Availability for approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases (workload is not guaranteed and varies by project)

Pay

This is task-based compensation. Contributors are paid per accepted task rather than hourly. The client indicates rates may reach the equivalent of $19/hour depending on qualification tier achieved and task completion efficiency. Because payment is per task rather than per hour, completing tasks more quickly increases your effective hourly rate, provided quality standards are maintained.

Payment is processed for tasks that meet acceptance criteria and are submitted by the established deadline.
