Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS client in Paris who is building a forward-deployed engineering team to deliver AI transformation for strategic enterprise accounts. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the Paris office.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own a portfolio of 1–2 strategic accounts, embedding directly with C-level and technical teams to architect, build, and deploy AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will work autonomously with high visibility, shaping both customer success and the evolution of this growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Embed with executive stakeholders to design end-to-end AI solutions and scalable workflows that address mission-critical business challenges
• Own business outcomes for your accounts—adoption metrics, workflow throughput, and ROI—from pilot through full production rollout
• Build and ship sophisticated platform configurations, AI agents, integrations into customer systems, and custom prototypes where needed
• Instrument deployments, run evaluations against real workflows, and translate findings into product requirements and roadmap input supported by data
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success as the technical authority on account strategy
• Turn one-off delivery work into reusable patterns, assets, and playbooks that scale across the business

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years building applications from scratch using TypeScript, Node.js, and React, with full-stack expertise
• Proven experience leading hands-on projects end-to-end in production environments, ideally with a client-facing component
• Background in Solution Architecture or Software Engineering with strong understanding of AI and LLM systems, including agent architectures, tool-use protocols, evaluations, and production workflows
• Experience navigating C-suite relationships and influencing executive decisions in ambiguous, high-stakes environments
• Track record of converting delivery work into reusable assets, product requirements, or repeatable methodologies
• Entrepreneurial mindset, fast-moving execution style, and focus on long-term impact over quick fixes
