Experienced Analyst – Master’s of Finance

Cornerstone Research is seeking an Experienced Analyst with a Master's of Finance to join our team in Burlington, Chittenden County. This is a full-time position where you'll contribute to high-impact consulting engagements across economic analysis, litigation support, and complex business problems.

About the Role

As an Experienced Analyst, you will be integral to case teams working alongside industry experts, senior consultants, and economists. You'll support all project phases—from initial case strategy and research design through execution, analysis, and expert preparation. Your analytical rigor and financial acumen will directly influence client outcomes in complex matters.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute quantitative analyses on economic, financial, and business issues in litigation, regulatory, and corporate settings
• Conduct research using financial databases, public records, and proprietary data to support case strategy
• Build financial models and perform valuation work across industries and scenarios
• Prepare materials, exhibits, and reports that communicate findings to clients and attorneys
• Support expert witnesses through case preparation, deposition reviews, and trial coordination
• Collaborate with senior team members to solve novel problems in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field
• 2+ years of professional experience in consulting, financial analysis, investment analysis, valuation, or related analytical roles
• Strong proficiency with financial modeling, statistical analysis, and business case development
• Advanced Excel skills; SQL, Python, or R experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet strict deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment
• Intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new industries and technical concepts
