About the Role
As an Environmental Services Technician at Bemidji Medical Center, you'll maintain our facility to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Working evenings on a part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, you'll ensure that patients, visitors, and staff experience a spotless, welcoming healthcare environment every day.
What You'll Do
- Clean and sanitize all patient care areas, medical equipment, and common spaces throughout the facility
- Empty and replace trash, recycling, and biohazard containers according to healthcare safety standards
- Maintain restrooms, floors, walls, and all surfaces to facility and infection control specifications
- Respond to spill and contamination cleanup requests promptly and safely
- Assist with terminal cleaning of patient rooms and specialized care areas
- Use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in accordance with safety protocols
- Report maintenance issues and facility hazards to supervisors
- Support special cleaning projects and facility maintenance as assigned
