About the Role

EOG Resources is growing its Midland, TX division and seeks a seasoned Completions Engineer Specialist to strengthen its engineering team. You will lead the planning and execution of completions on newly drilled horizontal wells, with a focus on multi-stage water-frac operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field and design experience and a drive to push operational and economic performance higher with every well.

Key Responsibilities

• Author detailed, well-specific completion procedures for new horizontal wells.
• Plan and oversee multi-stage water-frac completions from design through execution.
• Develop inventive approaches that streamline and improve day-to-day completion operations.
• Optimize stimulation spend while balancing stage design, fracture performance, and overall well economics.
• Refine horizontal frac strategies with attention to stage work and stimulation efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align completion plans with field operations and production goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience completing new horizontal wells, ideally with multi-stage water-frac designs.
• Strong command of completion procedure development and stimulation optimization.
• Working knowledge of horizontal frac mechanics, stage planning, and cost control.
• Analytical, creative problem-solving mindset focused on continuous operational improvement.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced Permian Basin operating environment.
