Endear – Product Designer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential retail technology company in their search for a Product Designer to join a team focused on in-store experiences. This is a fully remote, US-based position working on features that help retail teams manage appointments, events, customer interactions, and administrative workflows.

Our client builds software used by well-known retail brands, and you'll be designing for store associates, managers, and administrative users who rely on these tools daily. This role offers significant ownership over features from discovery through production, with mentorship and support on vision and direction from senior design leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own features and projects from problem understanding through research, testing, iteration, and production-ready design
• Conduct user research from early discovery through usability testing with store associates, managers, and admin users
• Design complete, accessible product experiences including loading, empty, error, permission, and edge-case states
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape solutions early in the development process
• Use customer insight and data to inform design decisions and continuous iteration
• Build and maintain design patterns while recognizing when new approaches are needed
• Deliver product experiences that improve how retail teams manage clienteling and in-store workflows
• Work within AI-first product development, using AI tools thoughtfully as part of your workflow

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 2–5 years working in product design
• Track record of independently owning features from discovery through implementation
• Experience running user research from discovery through usability testing
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear product solutions
• Strong collaboration skills working with Design, Product, and Engineering teams
• Experience designing complex, accessible workflows with attention to all product states
• Comfort using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, execution, and measurable impact
• Experience using AI tools as part of your workflow with sound judgment about AI-generated output

You'll Excel If You:

• Are comfortable with ambiguity and zero-to-one product work
• Naturally think beyond happy paths to account for edge cases and complete product states
• Care about solving the right problem and creating accessible experiences, not just polished UI
• Move quickly, seek feedback, and iterate based on what you learn
• Are curious about designing for AI-powered products
• Can articulate the impact of your work with data where available

Team Structure: You'll work closely with a Product Manager and 2–3 Engineers while being part of a three-person design team. You'll report to the Head of Product Design and have access to mentorship, an education budget, and support for professional development.

Location & Schedule: This role is fully remote and US-based. The team has a Monday standup at 8:00 AM Pacific that you'll need to attend.

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000–$129,000 USD base salary
