About the Role
As an Employment Specialist on our Care Coordination Team, you'll work directly with clients to assess employment readiness, develop targeted job opportunities, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful employment retention. This full-time position in Los Angeles, CA offers a Monday–Friday 8am–5:30pm schedule and requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. The salary range is $23.24 to $28.28 per hour, based on relevant experience.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive employability assessments, evaluating work readiness, physical and mental capabilities, support networks, and barriers to employment
- Develop individualized employment plans aligned with each client's goals and circumstances
- Deliver field-based and onsite case management services including job linkage, benefits procurement, and community integration support
- Teach practical job readiness skills—resume writing, interviewing techniques, and effective job search strategies
- Maintain detailed, accurate client records and communicate progress updates to case management teams
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to remove employment barriers and promote long-term stability
What We're Looking For
- Minimum one (1) year of employment-related services experience with vulnerable populations; three (3) years preferred
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and solve problems creatively
- Commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and equity-centered service delivery
- Valid driver's license, proof of reliable transportation and insurance, and ability to qualify for PATH's vehicle insurance
- Employment eligibility verification and ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification; must pass TB screening, background check, and drug test prior to hire
