Position Summary

In the Emergency Medicine Doctor role at SE Health Hospital, you will serve as a key member of the SEH clinical team responsible for rapid assessment and management of patients with acute illnesses and injuries. Working Full Time on site, you manage high-acuity situations, make time-critical decisions, and partner with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for every individual who presents to the emergency department. The position combines clinical expertise with efficient workflow in a busy hospital setting, supporting SEH careers focused on emergency medicine excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Evaluate walk-in and ambulance arrivals to determine urgency and initiate appropriate diagnostics and treatment
• Diagnose and stabilize a broad spectrum of medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions under time pressure
• Order laboratory studies, imaging, and other tests; interpret results and adjust care plans accordingly
• Perform necessary emergency procedures such as wound repair, airway management, and resuscitation steps
• Coordinate transfers, admissions, and specialist consultations to ensure seamless continuity of care
• Complete accurate, timely documentation for every encounter while following hospital protocols and safety standards
• Contribute to a collaborative atmosphere with nurses, technicians, and other providers in the SE Health Hospital emergency department

What You Bring

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine
• Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the jurisdiction of SE Health Hospital
• Demonstrated skill in rapid clinical decision-making and procedural competence under stress
• Strong verbal communication, empathy, and teamwork abilities essential for emergency settings
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
