Electrical Engineer II – Liaison

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is hiring an Electrical Engineer II – Liaison for its facility in Oakwood, Montgomery County. This full-time position offers hands-on engineering work on critical aerospace and defense technologies, where you'll bridge design, production, and field testing of advanced electronic systems.

About the Role

You'll join a team developing and deploying specialized electronic payloads and systems for some of the most demanding aerospace and defense applications. As an Electrical Liaison Engineer, you'll own the technical health of electrical systems throughout production and integration phases, working directly with manufacturing teams, engineering groups, and program stakeholders to ensure systems meet performance and reliability standards.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and test electronic systems and subsystems for specialized aircraft and aerospace platforms
• Serve as the engineering liaison between design, manufacturing, and test teams to resolve technical issues and optimize production
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and validation testing of electrical assemblies and payloads
• Document design changes, test results, and engineering decisions to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate on emerging technologies that advance the company's aerospace and defense capabilities
• Support quality assurance by identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, or manufacturing engineering
• Strong technical foundation in circuit design, electronic testing equipment, and diagnostics
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with CAD tools, schematic capture, and electrical simulation software
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Hands-on approach with a commitment to quality and attention to detail
