Director/Sr Director Pharmacometrics

Lilly is hiring a Director or Senior Director of Pharmacometrics to lead our Boston-based quantitative science team. In this full-time role, you'll drive pharmacometric strategy and modeling excellence across our clinical development pipeline, shaping how we leverage data science to advance precision medicine.

About the Role

As Director or Senior Director of Pharmacometrics at Lilly in Boston, Suffolk County, you'll oversee a talented team of scientists translating complex pharmacological data into strategic decisions that accelerate drug development and optimize patient outcomes. This leadership position lets you influence how we approach quantitative approaches to discovery, development, and regulatory strategy across our portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Direct pharmacometrics strategy and lead the design, execution, and interpretation of modeling and simulation studies that inform clinical trial design, dose optimization, and regulatory submissions
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of pharmacometricians and quantitative scientists, creating an environment of scientific rigor and continuous learning
• Partner with clinical development, regulatory affairs, and research teams to translate pharmacometric insights into actionable development strategies
• Advance quantitative methodologies including population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling, systems pharmacology, and contemporary data science techniques
• Lead regulatory interactions and represent pharmacometrics expertise across internal and external scientific forums
• Optimize team tools, processes, and capabilities to enhance analytical impact and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in pharmacometrics, pharmaceutical sciences, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative field
• 10+ years of pharmacometrics experience with demonstrated mastery in population modeling, pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic analysis, and simulation methodologies
• Proven track record leading scientific teams and developing early-career talent
• Substantial experience supporting regulatory submissions and clinical development programs
• Strong technical proficiency with pharmacometric software and programming languages such as R, Python, or equivalent tools
• Excellent ability to communicate technical analyses clearly to multidisciplinary and executive audiences
• Commitment to scientific excellence and professional growth in quantitative pharmacology
