About the Role
As an Engineer for MLOps & Scientific Platforms within the Data Foundry team, you will build and operate the infrastructure that powers machine learning and scientific computing at Lilly. You will partner with data scientists, researchers, and platform teams to turn experimental models into reliable, production-grade systems that accelerate healthcare innovation from our Boston location.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain MLOps pipelines that move models from research into dependable production environments.
- Develop and support scientific computing platforms that serve research and discovery workflows.
- Automate model training, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management to improve reliability and reproducibility.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and platform engineers to translate scientific requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Uphold standards for performance, observability, security, and operational excellence across data and ML systems.
Qualifications
- Hands-on engineering experience with MLOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models.
- Proficiency in building and managing data or scientific computing platforms.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a collaborative, cross-functional working style.
- A problem-solving mindset suited to supporting research-driven and scientific environments.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Boston, Suffolk County.
