About the Role

The Director of Thought Leadership, Content Marketing will shape and execute a strategic vision that positions Indeed as a trusted voice in the employment ecosystem. This role partners with senior leadership, subject‑matter experts, and cross‑functional teams to produce high‑impact content that drives brand authority and engages job seekers and employers alike.

What You'll Do

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive thought leadership agenda aligned with Indeed’s business goals.
• Manage the end‑to‑end content lifecycle, from ideation and research to creation, editing, and distribution across owned and earned channels.
• Collaborate with data, product, and marketing teams to uncover insights that fuel compelling narratives.
• Guide a team of writers, editors, and designers, providing mentorship and setting quality standards.
• Measure content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
• Represent Indeed at industry events, webinars, and podcasts as a spokesperson on workforce trends.
• Ensure all content adheres to brand voice, accessibility guidelines, and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading content marketing or thought leadership initiatives, preferably in a technology or HR‑focused organization.
• Strong editorial judgment with a track record of producing authoritative, data‑driven stories.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage high‑performing creative teams.
• Excellence in stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with content management systems, SEO best practices, and analytics platforms.
• Strategic mindset coupled with hands‑on execution skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field; equivalent experience is also considered.
