Join Embrace Life Services as a Direct Support Professional providing compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities in San Luis and throughout Yuma County, Arizona. This full-time position is essential to our mission of helping each person achieve independence, pursue their personal goals, and fully participate in their community.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with our Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program, you'll be the primary support for individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible within their own homes and local communities. You'll build meaningful relationships while providing practical, day-to-day assistance that enables your clients to thrive and reach their full potential.

What You'll Do

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living in a respectful, person-centered manner
• Support skill development and independence through coaching in self-care, budgeting, meal preparation, and other life skills
• Facilitate community integration and meaningful social engagement in the individual's chosen activities
• Assist with medical care coordination, medication management, and health-related support as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and assist with household tasks and maintenance
• Document support provided and communicate progress with supervisors and the interdisciplinary care team
• Advocate for the dignity, preferences, and rights of the individuals you support

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Genuine compassion and patience when working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow person-centered care plans and adapt support to individual needs and preferences
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily living activities
• Willingness to participate in required training and ongoing professional development
