Digital Product Manager SAP HR (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a global retail technology organization seeking a Digital Product Manager SAP HR for their Lille office. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement.

In this role, you will own the stability and evolution of critical HR systems supporting payroll operations for approximately 40,000 users across France and Spain. You will manage SAP HR (payroll calculation) and SAP BW (payroll reporting) products while driving strategic initiatives including migration to RISE S4 and integration with modern HRIS platforms.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Operational Excellence: Ensure quality and legal compliance of payroll processing for France and Spain. Serve as the primary liaison with local payroll teams, translating their needs into functional specifications.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of specialists including three ABAP developers and external TMA partners. Facilitate agile ceremonies, prioritize the backlog in JIRA, and monitor deliverables.
• Data Integration: Guarantee secure and seamless data exchanges between payroll systems and core HR, workforce planning, compensation, and financial tools.
• Strategic Projects: Lead the migration from SAP HR and SAP BW to RISE S4 in collaboration with SAP and internal technical teams. Manage security patch deployments and coordinate business impact. Oversee technical integration with Workday for France stabilization and Spain implementation.
• Governance and Strategy: Manage product budget including licenses, maintenance, and projects. Contribute to strategic discussions regarding SAP HR deployment to additional countries including the UK and Malaysia.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar product management role with comparable scope and responsibilities
• Domain Expertise: Significant experience with payroll systems and strong affinity for technical and legal HR challenges. Knowledge of SAP HR is a major advantage
• Product Management Skills: Mastery of Agile methodology (JIRA), product value orientation, and proven ability to manage complex dependencies and technical roadmaps
• Technical Stack: Familiarity with SAP HR, SAP BW HR, RISE S4 environment, and HRIS ecosystems (Workday experience beneficial)
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication abilities, influential leadership to coordinate third-party vendors and integrators, critical thinking, decision-oriented mindset, and strong ability to take strategic perspective
• Languages: Fluent French and English required for this international context
