DevOps Engineer

PLANET S.A. is recruiting a DevOps Engineer for a full-time position based in Athens, Attica, Greece. We're seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to design, deploy, and maintain our cloud and on-premise systems, ensuring reliability and performance across our operations.

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at PLANET S.A., you'll take ownership of our infrastructure strategy and execution. You'll bridge development and operations, automating deployment pipelines, optimising system performance, and implementing best practices in containerisation, orchestration, and infrastructure as code. This is a hands-on technical position where you'll work directly with engineering teams to streamline releases and improve operational efficiency across Athens-based and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and technologies
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment workflows
• Implement infrastructure as code using configuration management and provisioning tools
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to define deployment strategies and operational standards
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and deployment procedures
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into all infrastructure and deployment processes

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with containerisation platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code tools and configuration management systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and Linux system administration
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions is advantageous
