Design Engineer, Brand + Product

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI infrastructure company in their search for a Design Engineer who operates at the intersection of brand, product, and code. This is a rare hybrid role for someone who both designs and builds—across marketing surfaces, internal tools, and developer-facing products.

Our client is building the next generation of voice AI infrastructure, and their web presence is evolving toward something more immersive, interactive, and product-grade. You'll own that evolution end-to-end, working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, developer-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the marketing web experience toward immersive, interactive, product-grade design
• Design and build directly in code using Next.js, HTML, and CSS—working in an IDE like Cursor and shipping through GitHub
• Own and evolve an internal AI-powered brand system that generates assets using prompting as a core creative tool
• Design and help build smaller internal products including developer experience platforms
• Own brand identity end-to-end across website, marketing materials, presentations, and video
• Move fast and deliver independently across a wide range of formats and surfaces
• Anticipate needs and reach out directly to stakeholders without waiting to be briefed
• Manage external partners when needed

What We're Looking For

• Visual design and design-engineering experience—you design and you code—ideally at a startup where you've owned surfaces end-to-end
• Fluency with front-end technologies (React/Next.js, HTML, CSS), confident enough to review and ship changes via GitHub
• Experience working in Cursor or an equivalent AI-powered IDE
• Strong interaction and motion sensibility, with the ability to push web experiences toward richer, more immersive design
• Systems thinking: you've built or operated a design system as a living product, not a static style guide
• Genuine, hands-on daily use of AI tools in your workflow—not occasional dabbling
• Ability to build a distinct visual language for technical, abstract products without relying on stock photography or literal screenshots
• Sharp, fast decision-making with the ability to clearly explain your reasoning
• Fluent English (company language)
• Based in or open to working on-site in Paris (strong preference), or full-remote in France

Compensation & Benefits

Our client offers €65,000–€85,000 base salary depending on experience, hybrid or remote work arrangements in France, approximately €200/month lunch vouchers, €360/year sports allowance, €300 workstation budget, full health coverage, pension benefits, and flexible vacation policy.
