Deputy A.D./Associate A.D. of Compliance/SWA

Newman University in Wichita, Sedgwick County is recruiting a Deputy Athletic Director/Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator. In this full-time leadership position, you'll oversee all NCAA compliance operations, ensuring our athletics program maintains institutional integrity while advancing student-athlete welfare and success.

About the Role

The Deputy/Associate Athletic Director of Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator serves as the institution's primary compliance officer. You'll develop and execute comprehensive compliance strategies that protect Newman University's standing with the NCAA and conference while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and student-centered athletics administration.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of institutional compliance programs addressing NCAA regulations, conference requirements, and university policy
• Monitor and manage student-athlete eligibility determinations, recruiting practice adherence, and financial aid rule compliance
• Develop and deliver compliance training to coaches, staff, and student-athletes on amateurism standards, recruiting rules, and institutional expectations
• Investigate compliance concerns, document findings, and work with athletics leadership to implement corrective actions
• Coordinate across campus departments—Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Student Life—to ensure integrated support for student-athlete academics and development
• Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, records, and reporting required by NCAA, conference, and university oversight
• Serve as Senior Woman Administrator, championing student-athlete welfare initiatives and inclusive athletics practices

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in NCAA athletics compliance, athletic administration, or related institutional compliance role
• Expert knowledge of NCAA Division regulations or NAIA/conference compliance standards
• Strong organizational ability and precision in managing compliance documentation and reporting
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across diverse internal constituencies
• Commitment to student-athlete development, wellness, and equitable athletic opportunity
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in sport management or related field preferred
