DAYSHIFT, REMOTE – AU Architectural Draftsman

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential architecture and construction firm seeking an experienced AU Architectural Draftsman for a permanent dayshift role. Our client operates remotely across the United States, and our talent team is looking for a technical professional who can create detailed architectural drawings and collaborate with engineering teams on real estate development projects.

This is a remote position with standard daytime hours, offering stability and the opportunity to work on diverse building design projects requiring Australian construction standards expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings using Revit CAD software for architectural and construction projects
• Collaborate with engineers and design professionals to produce drawings that meet project specifications
• Provide complete document sets for building permit applications
• Prepare technical documentation including material lists and cost estimates
• Create CAD drawings incorporating exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and construction details
• Enter CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3D models and renderings
• Ensure all drawings are accurate and comply with industry standards and Australian building regulations
• Maintain a library of standard drawing templates and update existing drawings as project requirements evolve
• Work closely with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications

What We're Looking For

• Relevant professional experience as an Architectural Draftsman
• Knowledge of Australian construction codes and requirements is mandatory
• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite software
• In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis
• Ability to apply fundamentals of sketching and design principles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mathematical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while taking direction from project leads
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
