This full-time role positions you as both a hands-on engineering contributor and technical leader building production-grade artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that strengthen Booz Allen's cyber defense capabilities. You'll take ownership of end-to-end system architecture, from research and prototyping through deployment and operations, supporting teams that identify and neutralize advanced cyber threats in real time. Working with classified information and cutting-edge technology, you'll have direct impact on national security missions while collaborating with experienced security professionals and data scientists.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and operationalize AI/ML models and systems that process security telemetry and detect cyber threats
• Lead production engineering efforts to scale machine learning pipelines across distributed infrastructure
• Transform research prototypes into robust, monitored systems that support live cyber operations
• Partner with security teams to define requirements, validate model performance, and iterate based on operational feedback
• Architect data ingestion, feature engineering, and inference workflows optimized for speed and accuracy
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices across the team

Qualifications

• Active or eligible for Top Secret/SCI security clearance (or equivalent with ability to obtain)
• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, or related cybersecurity technical roles
• Demonstrated expertise building and deploying ML models in production environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or similar languages
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, and threat detection concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, Kubernetes, or distributed systems architecture
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members
