SailPoint Engineer, Senior with Security Clearance

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Senior SailPoint Engineer with security clearance for our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Scott Air Force Base in Saint Clair County. In this full-time role, you'll architect and operate identity governance solutions that protect critical systems, data, and personnel from unauthorized access.

Role Overview

Identity security is the foundation of modern cybersecurity. As the perimeter shifts from networks to users, your expertise in SailPoint platforms becomes essential. This Senior SailPoint Engineer position puts you at the center of that mission—designing and maintaining IAM systems that prevent breaches, enforce compliance, and enable secure access across enterprise infrastructure. You'll work with government stakeholders and internal teams to build identity solutions that scale and adapt to evolving threats.

Core Duties

• Administer and optimize SailPoint Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms to enforce access controls and identity policies
• Design and implement identity workflows that automate provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain least-privilege access principles across systems and applications
• Develop and maintain SailPoint integrations, connectors, and identity data sources
• Conduct access reviews, audits, and threat assessments to identify and remediate unauthorized access risks
• Document architecture, processes, and configurations to ensure operational continuity and knowledge transfer
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues that impact system availability and security posture

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience as a SailPoint engineer or IAM specialist
• Demonstrated expertise in SailPoint Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) or Identity Platform administration
• Strong understanding of identity governance principles, access control models, and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
• Experience integrating SailPoint with directory services, enterprise applications, and cloud platforms
• Proficiency in identity query language (IQL), rules, workflows, and configuration
• Active security clearance (Secret or higher) or ability to obtain one
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
