Credit Officer & Head of Risk

Splitit is hiring a Credit Officer & Head of Risk in Dunwoody, DeKalb County, Georgia to lead credit strategy and risk management for our payment technology platform. In this full-time role, you'll oversee the credit decisions and risk frameworks that power our payment splitting solution, helping us safely expand access to flexible payment options for consumers.

About the Role

As our Credit Officer & Head of Risk, you'll be the senior leader responsible for evaluating, managing, and mitigating credit risk across our payment platform. You'll establish policies that protect Splitit while enabling responsible credit access, directly shaping how we serve consumers who use their existing credit to make purchases in manageable installments.

What You'll Do

• Develop and oversee credit risk assessment frameworks and approval policies
• Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and emerging credit risks
• Lead credit underwriting strategy and establish scoring methodologies
• Ensure compliance with credit regulations, lending laws, and industry standards
• Manage relationships with credit partners, issuers, and risk analytics teams
• Report on credit metrics and risk exposure to executive leadership and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to balance risk and growth in our payment platform

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of credit risk management experience in fintech, lending, or payments
• Deep knowledge of credit underwriting, risk modeling, and portfolio analysis
• Strong understanding of credit regulations and consumer finance compliance
• Proven ability to build risk policies and frameworks from the ground up
• Experience with alternative credit products, buy-now-pay-later, or installment lending
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
