EHS Specialist

About the Role

As an EHS Specialist (also known as a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist, or WHS Specialist) based in Whiteland, Johnson County, you'll partner with operations teams on the ground to identify hazards, strengthen safety practices, and support Amazon's goal of setting the standard for safety excellence across every industry in which it operates. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and reinforce a workplace culture in which employee health and safety are the top priority.
• Conduct regular site assessments to spot potential risks and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Support compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Partner with operations leaders and associates to embed safe behaviors into daily work.
• Help track safety metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Background or demonstrated interest in environmental, health, and safety (EHS/WHS) practices.
• Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site at the Whiteland, Johnson County location.
• Comfort collaborating across teams in a fast-paced operations environment.
