About the Role

As the Sr. Principal, Group Actuarial, you will serve as the top actuarial authority within NRECA's Actuarial Department, guiding the strategy, analysis, and financial integrity of group health and welfare benefit plans. Key Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial oversight of group health and welfare benefit plans, ensuring sound financial management and compliance.
• Develop and review actuarial models, projections, and reserve analyses that inform benefit design and funding decisions.
• Advise senior stakeholders on cost trends, plan performance, and long-term sustainability.
• Mentor and elevate the actuarial team, setting standards for analytical rigor and best practice.
• Translate complex actuarial findings into clear guidance for non-technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Extensive actuarial experience, ideally focused on group health and welfare or employee benefit programs.
