Couples Therapist – LISW LPCC IMFT – Outpatient

LifeStance Health is seeking a licensed couples therapist to join our outpatient mental health team in Burton, Geauga County. As a full-time Couples Therapist with valid LISW, LPCC, or IMFT licensure, you'll work directly with couples navigating relationship challenges, communication barriers, and emotional connection in a client-centered, evidence-based treatment environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time outpatient position serving couples and committed partners seeking therapy for relationship improvement and conflict resolution. You'll conduct individual and joint sessions, develop personalized treatment plans, and apply evidence-based therapeutic models in a supportive clinical setting that prioritizes accessible, high-quality mental healthcare.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing therapy sessions with couples
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing relationship dynamics and communication patterns
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, or Imago Relationship Therapy
• Document clinical progress and maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the treatment team on care coordination and referrals when appropriate
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical practice standards throughout client relationships

What We're Looking For

• Valid licensure as LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or IMFT
• Clinical experience working with couples or relationship-focused therapy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cultural competence
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team
