About the Role

Bay Path Rehab & Nursing Center is hiring a Cook I to support our kitchen operations and contribute to the wellbeing of our residents. Working the 11 AM – 7:30 PM shift with every other weekend, you'll prepare meals that meet nutritional standards and dietary requirements for our nursing home community. This position includes shift differential pay and the reward of working in a healthcare setting where your contributions directly impact resident health and satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, cook, and plate meals according to established recipes, portion sizes, and nutritional guidelines
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
• Coordinate meal preparation timing to ensure residents and staff receive hot, quality meals on schedule
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and special meal requests for individual residents
• Manage kitchen equipment, inventory, and food storage responsibly
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and nursing team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Work reliably during evening hours and alternate weekends as scheduled

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food handling certification or willingness to obtain one
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food storage, preparation, and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependability and a positive attitude toward serving nursing home residents
• Flexibility to work the assigned evening shift and every other weekend
