Food Safety & QA Supervisor – Bilingual Spanish

Tandem Foods is hiring a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor for our production facility in Hauppauge, Suffolk County. This is a full-time leadership role where you'll oversee all food safety and quality control operations for our industrial food manufacturing plant.

About the Role

You'll take ownership of our food safety and QA programs from the ground up, establishing protocols that protect both our products and consumers. This position combines hands-on oversight with strategic planning, requiring someone who can build and maintain rigorous standards while leading and training your team on compliance requirements and best practices.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement quality assurance procedures, inspection methods, and testing protocols across production processes
• Develop and maintain documentation systems for quality control records, regulatory filings, and compliance audits
• Conduct regular plant inspections, evaluate testing results, and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Lead and train production staff on food safety standards, proper procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure all operations meet federal food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and industry standards
• Communicate with production leadership and external auditors regarding quality metrics and corrective actions
• Investigate quality issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food production management
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP systems, and quality control procedures
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage production teams
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and organizational ability
• Professional certifications in food safety (such as FSSC 22000 or equivalent) are preferred
